Best aspects of our New Year getaway were the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Northumberland and the cleanliness of the accommodation. The lodge was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids loved the play park and the surprise Xbox provided endless entertainment. The spacious inside and the hot tub outside were great additions, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
The misleading photographs that made the outside space appear more appealing than it actually was. The patio was overgrown with weeds and there were cigarette filters lying around, which was a bit off-putting.

The fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher at the lodge was a game-changer! It made me feel like a master chef, effortlessly whipping up delicious meals while on vacation. No more wrestling with pans and scrubbing dishes by hand. It was a true culinary paradise!
Patio needs maintenance.

Surrounding area was beautiful, with a nearby park and zoo. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and had great facilities including an Xbox.
The lodge was in need of maintenance, with broken bathroom door and dining chair. The hot tub lights and jets did not work properly.

The location was perfect, with a beautiful park nearby and even a zoo right next door. The staff were helpful and accommodating, especially when it came to making sure our autistic son was safe by removing any breakable items from the room.
The breakfast menu could have had more variety.

We had an amazing stay at Southwick Lodge. The lodge itself was clean and incredibly spacious, with a lovely outdoor seating area. Despite being easily accessible from the A1, we were pleasantly surprised that there was no road noise. The hot tub was a great addition, and we loved that the lodge was dog-friendly. The on-site pub was convenient, and we also enjoyed being able to walk to the neighboring site with another dog-friendly pub that served delicious food. Highly recommend!
Would recommend this hotel.
